How long had it been since he went back to this place? Probably too long. He always wondered if Myka was still here. He knew he hadn't seen her in a long while, but he couldn't stop thinking about her. Was she with someone else maybe? Someone who did take good care of her? Questions kept going through his mind as he walked along the shore. It had been such a while now and he just wanted to check some old places. He decided to check out the cave. That place reminded him of all their stories and troubles. It was true, they always got into trouble when they were around eachother. Chuckling lightly at that thought, he shook his head. They both seemed to be quite stubborn when it came to dying. As he climbed up and got into the cave, he looked around. It still smelled like the ocean, and Myka's scent. He would recognize that scent everywhere. Closing his eyes, he sat down and sat against the wall. He didn't forget that Myka had a child now as well. How would that boy be now? Opening his eyes again, his red eyes scanned the inside of the cave. The ashes of the wood was still there. Always having a fireplace here. He smiled a bit, missing Myka quite a bit. She always was his close friend, and yes, he still hadn't lost feelings for her. Simply sitting here, he started to think and make up a plan to find her. Going to the sanctuary was probably too risky, so he had to come up with something else. Sighing, leaning his head now against the wall as well, he just sat there, thinking. His red eyes stayed open, just staring above him.

"Tairen! Don't go too far ahead!"

Myka stood on the beach, hands on her hips as she watched her son run around in the sand. His mess of black hair stood out easily against his pale skin, making him impossible to lose around here. Instead of listening, he continued to run, squealing with delight every time a wave came in far enough to cover his bare toes. She laughed at his behavior and shook her head, giving up. It was time for lunch anyway, so she stopped following him and set down the large picnic basket in her hands. In no time at all she had a blanket spread, with food and plates and everything else laid out.

"I'm going to eat without you!" she called out threateningly. That worked. His head popped up and he raced back over, his small white wings already filled with sand. She smiled and brushed them off, then let him sit and begin munching.

"So what can we do to play?" he asked, his mouth full of salad. Myka looked around for a moment, then grinned.

"A long time when I came here, I made a big ice slide that went from way up there, to way down in the water. It went out deep enough and had a little jump so that when you went off, you landed out in the ocean and had to swim back in," she explained, amused by how large his eyes got.

Yuro thought he had heard something close to the cave. A woman's voice, shouting someone's name. Yuro frowned a bit as he crawled to the opening of the cave. Looking out of it and to the side, he first noticed the young boy with the pitch black hair. Yuro tilted his head a bit as he watched the boy, smiling a bit. His eyes then moved and looked at the girl with the long blue hair. It couldn't miss that it was actually Myka and her son Tairen. Apparently he was quite lucky right now. Yuro just observed for a while longer, letting his legs now dangle at the entrance, just sitting there and watching. It was still quite some distance, so he wasn't sure if Myka could even see him or sense him. His white hair waved by the ocean breeze, his eyes focusing on them eating now. Should he disturb the lunch? Would Myka even recognize him? Or even want to see him? His red eyes just narrowed a bit, thinking about it. Last he saw Tairen, he was a lot smaller. It made him wonder how much time had passed by since he last saw Myka and Tairen. Sighing a bit, he got up and moved back into the cave. He then just jumped out of the cave, his shadows then making him disappear in mid-air. He appeared back on the sand, still quite a few feet away from Myka and Tairen. He put his hands in his pocket, his head tilted a bit to the right. His white hair kept sweeping by the wind, just waiting and seeing if Myka would either see him and recognize him, or just ignore him and think of him as a stranger.

"An ice slide?!" Tairen exclaimed, his blue eyes massive as he stared at disbelief at his mother. "But wasn't it really cold?!"

"No," Myka laughed. "It was hot here on the beach and there was warmer water moving in the slide to make sure you didn't get stuck. We all had such a good time with it. I think we left it there for a few days, if I remember right.. Made a lot of people stare!"

"We?" her son repeated, looking confused.

"Ah, yes. It was me and-" Myka began, then paused. She tilted her head a fraction. That feeling.. She turned a little and her eyes locked on the figure down the beach. "... Yuro."

"What's a Yuro?" Tairen asked, stuffing his face with more of the sandwich and not paying the least bit of attention. All he wanted to do was finish eating and go play!

Yuro noticed Myka's eyes were now locked upon him. He wondered if he should come closer or not. Hearing Tairen's words asking what a Yuro was, he just chuckled lightly. "How cute.." He mumbled underneath his breath with a smile. Walking closer, he just tilted his head a bit. He wondered if Myka even trusted him. He couldn't even remember how he last left. Was it with a fight? He wasn't sure, but he would figure with what she would do. As he stood close enough now, he stopped and stood behind Tairen with a smile. His red eyes showed somewhat kindness, since he was calm and in a kind mood. The insanity was close and on the edge, but he was able to contain it. "Well Tairen, let me tell you what 'a Yuro' is. A Yuro is, well.. me. My name is Yuro, and I'm sure your mother means me, because I remember that slide all too well." He said with a smile, his eyes slowly looking at Myka. "Such a nice day to picknick. Myka, been a while since I've seen you." He whispered, smiling lightly. How silly, his heart was already beating faster. Apparently, he still had quite a lot of feelings for her.

After looking around for a little while however, he realized he recognized the area "Wow its been a long time since I've been here" closing his eyes he remembered all the good memories the place had"I wonder If anyone is still around here" smiling he walked around and when he thought he saw two familiar faces so decided to walk towards the two of them seeing it was who thought it was smiling stopping behind Yuro saying in his odd voice Its been quite some time hasn't it Myka Yuro?

Tairen turned his head in surprise and stared up at Yuro, amazed as he was informed as to just who he was. He smiled and waved, then stuffed his face with more food.

"Nice manners," Myka remarked dryly, shaking her head. Tairen swallowed quickly and looked back at Yuro with a big smile, not wanting to get scolded.

"It's nice to meet you! I'm Tairen!" he announced, then resumed stuffing his face while Myka tried not to laugh.

"It's nice to see you again. How have you been?" Myka asked, looking up at Yuro. She smiled and stood up, brushing herself off. Tairen had insisted upon the beach for swimming, so she was only in a dark blue bathing suit with a green wrap tied around her waist. She was about to say something else to Yuro when a figure walked up to them. "Justin?" she said incredulously, unable to believe that all three of them were here, again. After all this time? Bizarre. "How are you?"

"Not sure about you but its nice to meet you young sir" he said politely.

Yuro just stared at the little Tairen. He found it amusing how Tairen didn't even know who Yuro was. That was alright though. Myka had moved on with her son while he just had vanished. He had promised her to take care of Tairen with her, but he had left. He knew that, and damn he felt guilty about it. Not that it mattered now. He just watched Tairen, stuffing his mouth again. "Ah yes, Tairen. So hyperactive. It's funny to see how much you've grown already." Yuro spoke in a calm voice. His eyes slowly went back to Myka and he just nodded. "Everything's okay. Not much has been going on anymore. I'm actually glad to see you here. I didn't think you'd stay around this town, after all that has been happening here." He spoke, crossing his arms, smiling.

As Yuro saw Justin, He frowned a bit. Tilting his head, he just chuckled, moving aside while Justin wanted to lean on him. Which would probably make Justin fall into the sand. Laughing a bit, he just shrugged, looking back at Myka. "So, just a bathing suit hmm? Can your little boy swim?" Yuro asked kindly, plopping down into the sand. Looking over to Tairen and the water, he just sighed a bit. "I missed this place." He yawned, laying down into the sand, closing his eyes. "Maybe things can go back to the way they were. Right Myka?" He said with a smile, keeping his eyes closed. He just hoped it would be a peaceful day. Not another fight with some kind of monster or psycho. But, who knew. When being around Myka or just this town, something always happened. But he was ready. He had gotten stronger, so he wasn't worried right now.

"Of course I can swim!" Tairen said indignantly, and Myka stifled a laugh. The little boy finished off his munching and hopped off, taking off to the water to prove it. She watched him run, then turned to Yuro as he laid down.

"The way they were? That seems like so long ago," she commented, realizing belatedly that Justin had disappeared. She was too used to that to even be surprised. "I don't think things will ever go back to the way they used to be, but that doesn't mean the new way isn't just as good," she added, flicking her gaze back to Tairen after a moment to keep track of him as he dove under the water like a winged fish.

"See? I can swim!" he yelled back, obviously quite proud of himself. He didn't stick around to gloat, though - instead he dove back under to go shell hunting.

"How are you? How is your son? Did you end up getting married?" Myka asked, sitting on the warm sand.

Yuro just chuckled as he noticed Justin's energy was gone again. It didn't surprise him. Though as Myka spoke again, he opened his eyes and just frowned a bit. "Nah, the old way is always better. More ignorant. It was more fun too. You have to watch your son now. But I bet having a son gives a lot more in return." Yuro slowly sat up again, looking over at the water, seeing Tairen swim. Nodding and giving a thumbs up for a moment, Yuro just chuckled. "Your son grew up so fast. Time indeed went by so fast. Did you ever meet a new man again?" Yuro asked before she had asked him the questions. He slowly looked at her and just smiled slightly. A kind of sad smile.

"Well.. First of all, I am still alive, so I'm doing good. Secondly, my son.. Yuji, well..." He sighed and shrugged a bit. "He died, because I was too careless. Some kind of animal demon got to him before I did. And, no. I didn't end up getting married. A lot of troubles and fights lately. It's not going well, nor am I sure I want to return either." He said slowly, smiling faintly as he looked at Myka. "How about yourself though? Anything new with you?" He asked, disregarding his own story. He just wanted to stay here, and be back in time, forget what all had happened.

Myka frowned sadly, but she knew better than to delve into what he had said. Bringing it back up would just upset him. Still, she was heartbroken to learn that his son was dead. The fighting wasn't good news either. Why wasn't he married to.. to.. what was her name again? It didn't matter now. What mattered was how he felt, and how he obviously didn't want to talk about it. For now she'd go with it, but if he planned on staying, she'd corner him sooner or later.

"Nothing new with me. No 'new men' or anything like that. It's just Tairen and I. We have a little house of our own now. Tairen is getting better at being outside during the daytime, but he still can't last more than about two hours before it hurts him," she said, watching her son as she spoke. He surfaced every once in a while since he didn't share her abilities, but he was still a very strong swimmer. She had made certain of that.

"Do you plan on staying?"

Yuro just watched Myka silently for her to respond. It was nice to hear about her, though sad that she was still alone. Well not entirely since she had Tairen. He nodded to her answers and frowned a bit at the fact that Tairen couldn't stay outside for that long. "Hmm... That is strange. Maybe he'll get the hang of it when he's older. I could actually shroud him in shadows, so the light won't hurt him. Only you and me can see the dark shroud, the outside world can't. That way, he can just stay outside as long as he likes." He offered, smiling. "I'm sorry to hear you're still alone with love. But having a new house is great. Where do you live?" He asked tilting his head. He slowly got up again, towering above Myka. He chuckled a bit, knowing he was a lot taller than her. "I indeed do plan on staying here. This is actually my home. And a place I come back to when life is just.. Sucking badly." He said, scratching the back of his head, laughing.

"Really? Oh, that would be great. We would have stayed in the Sanctuary, but that weird constant-night thing finally wore off so he wasn't doing any better there than in the real world. Plus, Kaleah isn't in good health and I didn't really want Tairen to see that," she said, sighing softly. "Anyway, the shadow thing would be fantastic."

She paused and stood up as he did, then glanced out at the water to see Tairen swimming back toward them. He had an armful of shells, like always. Their house had them on every windowsill now, and some along shelves and under his bed. She smiled and turned back to Yuro.

"We live just outside of town, near the water. The beach is rocks instead of sand, though, so we like to come here from time to time. It's lucky we ran into you, actually. We're only here about twice a week," she explained.

Yuro smiled brightly as Myka found it fantastic. He heard about the Sanctuary and Kaleah. He wasn't fond of that place anymore and just frowned. "Well, at least the darkness wore off from that place. Though, I don't have much to do with them anymore." He shrugged and watched Tairen as he came out. "Alright, I shall cloak him with it. And, if you want to make the shadows vanish from Tairen, just whisper underneath your breath "Make the shadows turn into light". That should help." Yuro said and chuckled a bit. He moved his hand towards Tairen as he came towards them. The shadows lined around Tairen, cloaking him, blocking the light from the young boy. "There we go." He said and looked back at Myka. "Oh really? Rocks? That sounds interesting. And just twice a week. Well, maybe I had a hunch you'd be here. I've been sleeping in your old cave for a few days." He said, pointing back to the cave above the water. He took Myka and Tairen's hand, his shadows quickly transporting them inside Myka's little house, in the livingroom. "There.. much quicker. I lend your energy to get to it." He smiled, letting go of Myka and Tairen's hand, huffing a bit. "Nice place." He said while looking around, crossing his arms.

Myka was about to respond when they suddenly shifted into her own living room. She blinked and looked around with a smile, then glanced down at Tairen, who was exclaiming how neat that was. The room was small but not tiny - perfectly cozy for a pair. There was a comfy couch made of wood with dark blue cushions along the wall, sitting under a large window that overlooked a rocky beach with rough waves crashing on it. The walls were painted a plain light blue, with different shades of blue swirling through it. Tairen had added green fish here and there as well. There was an extra chair in the corner that was a chocolate brown, and the floor was wooden.

"I'd almost forgotten what that felt like, it's been so long," she said after Tairen ran off to put the picnic basket away. She smiled up at Yuro and nodded a little. "Thank you for cloaking him. I didn't even think of that, and I wouldn't have had the ability to do it even if I did consider it," she said quietly, then paused as Tairen came bounding back in.

"C'mon, Yuro, you gotta see my room!" he announced, taking Yuro's hand and tugging him toward the doorway.

Yuro looked around the room and smiled. It all looked so comfortable. He slowly looked at Myka, laughing a bit. "Yes, sorry about that. I should've warned first. But, at least you didn't get sick from the transportating. Which means, your body is still used to it." He said with a bright smile. He slowly looked at Tairen who was already gone and just chuckled. "Boy does he have a lot of energy. Reminds me of myself when I was little. And besides, the cloaking, don't worry about it. I'm glad I can actually do something useful for you, for once." He said and looked at Myka, placing his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. I always intend to help and protect you." He let go of her shoulder again, about to sit down in the brown chair. But he got interrupted, feeling a tiny hand capturing his. He looked at Tairen and chuckled. "Well alright then. Show me your awesome room." Yuro said, kneeling down for a second. He followed Tairen, looking at Myka, chuckling. "Well.. See ya soon, or you tag along." His voice was still quite cheery, clearly covering all the pain he still felt.

"You two go ahead. I'll wait out here," Myka said, waving them off with a smile. Tairen nodded and tugged Yuro down a short hallway, then proudly threw his hands up in the air.

"Ta-da!" he exclaimed with a grin. "This is my room," he added, in case that wasn't abundantly clear.

The bed was made of solid crystal for the frame, filled with swirls of green and black and yellow paint below the surface. He had asked for that specifically. The soft blankets were black, the pillows a bright yellow with one small green one. He had painted the walls and ceiling to look like the bottom of the ocean, with all sorts of creatures. Dozens of small crystal fish hung from the ceiling on thin fishing line, casting sparkles everywhere. Along the wall was a filled bookcase, and there was a big window that was covered in a heavy curtain.

"So, what do you think?" Tairen asked, obviously wanting Yuro's opinion badly. After all, Yuro was a boy, not his mom.

Myka wandered into her own room while she waited for the boys, changing out of her swimsuit and into a simple blue and white dress. She drew her damp hair back into a long braid to keep it from her face, then wandered barefoot out to the kitchen to make some fruit punch for them all.

Yuro couldn't help but chuckle as he got dragged to the little boy's room. He looked around and his eyes widened. He honestly got quite the uncomfortable feeling, since he felt as if he was underwater. He knew he felt nervous, but he just swallowed and looked around. So many water elements. At least Myka did a good job there. Yuro walked over to Tairen's bed and knocked lightly on it. "Well Tairen, this bed looks totally awesome! Did your mom make it for you?" He asked and smiled. As he got back up, he looked at the heavy curtain and back at Tairen. "I actually think it looks really cool and very detailed. And I bet it fits you very well." He said with a smile, patting his head gently.

Yuro walked out of Tairen's room, taking a deep breath. So many memories about the ocean, and especially the bottom of it. It was a strange feeling, like someone with claustrophobia. Yuro shook it off and smiled again. "Tairen, come on. I smell fruit. Which is good!" Yuro said and laughed, walking into the kitchen. "You sure did a good job with finding this place. It looks so beautiful, especially the few. And your dress." He added with a chuckle, standing against the wall, just watching her making fruit punch. "Oh man, I'm starving." He just smiled, his light blue eyes shining brightly.

"Yeah she made it all by herself! I watched her do it and helped mix up the paints!" Tairen said with a big grin. His dimpled cheeks showed just how happy he was that Yuro approved of the room. He nodded and followed the man out, skipping along to the kitchen behind him.

"Oh, thank you," Myka said with a smile, glancing back over her shoulder to smile at Yuro. His last comment before he laughed made her blush a bit, and she poured them each a tall glass of the fresh punch. "We have plenty of leftovers from the picnic. Help yourself," she said, gesturing to the pile of fruit and sandwich fixings sitting on the counter and waiting to be taken care of.

"Yuro likes my room! He said the bed is totally awesome!" Tairen said, taking his glass of punch.

"Did he now? Well I'm glad he approves," Myka said with a laugh.

Yuro looked at the tall glass, his eyes widening in delight. He quickly took the glass and smiled kindly at her. "It's so great to be back here." He said in a soft whisper, taking quite a bit of the leftovers. He was really hungry. He grabbed five sandwiches and three pieces of fruit along with the fruit punch. Taking it all easily in his hands, he chuckled at Tairen's words. "Well of course I approve. Water may not be my favorite thing, but it still looks beautiful." Yuro nodded and sat down on the brown chair, placing all the food in his lap and chuckled. "So Myka, have you been living in a peaceful time lately? I mean.. You know. A lot used to happen in this town." He said more serious now, starting to eat the sandwices first, clearly enjoying the meal.

Tairen grabbed a few strawberries before Myka put the rest of the food and punch away, then they both joined Yuro in the living room. Tairen sat at the far end of the couch, munching and playing with a crystal figurine of a shark, and Myka sat on the end nearest to Yuro's chair and crossed her legs as she nodded to him.

"Those days seem to be over," she said simply, half shrugging. "Things have really changed around here. The Sanctuary is the only thing that seems to be the same. More ships have come in lately to port, and the city is growing. The inn has been closed for over a year now, and that tavern where you and I met closed down and got turned into a bed and breakfast."

"What inn, Mommy?" Tairen asked curiously, looking up.

"The one in the woods, dear. Remember? We went and saw it one day a few months ago," she reminded him.

"Oh yeah! The one that was all dusty and had big boards on the windows! I thought that place was haunted!"

Yuro tilted his head as he listened to Myka's story. That was odd. The town was actually finally growing. And the inn. He sighed a bit at the mention of the inn. He wondered what had happened to his mother then. Frowning a bit, he nodded lightly. "I see. So many changes. Well, a bed and breakfast isn't bad either. Maybe I should stay there a couple of days. I mean, I don't want to take up all your space, you know?" He said with a bit of a laughter, scratching the side of his head a little, before eating further. He was glad to hear things had been peaceful lately. "Oh, that reminds me. Do you recognize this?" He put the food away for a second, taking out a necklace from his pocket. He showed it to Myka, and it showed a crystalized angel. It was glowing brightly and Yuro just sighed. "I think it belongs to the Sanctuary, but I'm not sure." He said and looked at Tairen with a chuckle. "Haunted? Well, maybe it is haunted. I haven't been there for a while either." Yuro said, putting a piece of pear in his mouth, looking back at Myka.

"Oh, don't bother going there! It'd be awful of me to send you off somewhere else when we have room here. If you don't want the couch, you can have my room. I have a spare hammock I can hang from the ceiling in here and snooze in. It's actually very comfy," Myka said with a smile.

"Why can't I sleep in a hammock?" Tairen complained.

"Because the last time you tried, you flipped it over in your sleep and fell on your face," Myka reminded him sternly, then looked to Yuro and examined the necklace. "My, that is gorgeous. I don't recognize it, but it looks like it could belong in the Sanctuary chapel. Perhaps it was on a tribute plate in the lobby, I'm not sure."

"If the inn is haunted, we should go there and look around! Maybe there are big ghosts!" Tairen said excitedly, then yawned hugely.

"I think your adventuring is going to have to wait until tomorrow. Go get your pajamas on," Myka said, ushering Tairen off the couch and smiling over at Yuro. "Please stay, at least for a night or two. Tairen would love having a boy in the house," she said once her son was out of the room.

Yuro nodded, smiling at the offer. "Well, if you want me to stay here, then I'll stay here." He looked at Tairen and nodded. "Hammocks aren't that safe, it seems. Have a good night rest, young one!" He said while Tairen ran to get his pajamas on. Yuro looked back at Myka and nodded, looking at the necklace again. "The light and being an angel, it came to my mind that the Sanctuary would fit best. I shall go and take a look to return it. I think it is best you stay here with your little boy. I won't be long. I promise. It would only feel right to return this to them, since it looks quite important. It is strange they haven't informed you on anything missing though. Well, I'll be back." He said, smiling kindly, before his shadows wrapped around him and made him vanish from the house.

He landed on the bench in the Sanctuary, looking around. He narrowed his eyes a little because of the light here. He wasn't really used to it anymore. Sighing, he just looked around, putting the necklace in his pocket. "Now.. the Sanctuary's chapel.. Where is it again." He looked around and finally spotted it, transporting to it in a second. Standing inside the chapel now, he saw a few women, and rolled his eyes. He knew the women didn't like him, so he didn't want to draw attention either. He just sighed and sat down in a dark corner, waiting for the women to get out first. "I have to hurry.." he mumbled.
